Scramble in June!
Finally, with the return of the Scramble open day, it’s time to return to the former RAF base – and the event is returning with a bang with its first-ever two-day Scramble. The hours of this family-friendly and dog-friendly open-air event have also been extended, with visitors being welcomed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., allowing you even more time to see Bicester Heritage’s 45 specialists and enjoy the selected display of classic automobiles. Tickets are more restricted than usual due to COVID restrictions, so don’t miss out.
Concours d’Elegance de Londres
The Honourable Artillery Company, buried away in the heart of the British city, hosts a modest yet high-class automotive garden party every year, welcoming 80 historic and modern supercars to its manicured lawns. The London Concours will be larger and better than ever in 2021, with a three-day event. Porsche and berlinetta classes have already been announced for the event’s fifth edition. 60 E-type
The Jaguar E-type celebrated its 60th birthday on March 15th, and the E-type Club is throwing a big party to celebrate at the lovely Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb – and being the generous types that they are, they’re letting Mini Coopers, which are also celebrating their 60th birthday this year, join in.E-type 60, a weekend-long celebration of two British automotive icons, promises action on the famous hill, demos, exhibits featuring all 13 E-type models, and club stands, all accompanied by live music, food, and drink, as the swinging ’60s spirit comes to Worcestershire.
Historic Thruxton
The Thruxton Historic, billed “the quickest circuit in the UK,” will return from June 12-13, filling the Hampshire track with the sounds and smells of old racing vehicles. Seven grids have already been confirmed, with touring cars, historic Jaguars, single-seaters, and more, as well as the third running of Land Rover Legends, which will feature vehicles from the Dunsfold Collection as part of the off-track entertainment. There will be auto club displays, family-friendly activities, demonstrations, live entertainment, and more.
